Tutorial 4 : Step By Step

I followed the tutorial given in the video.

IT focuses on gradient and shadows.

The layer style that has been used are :

1) Gradient overlay

notice the word ink. darker gradient on top and lighter gradient below. however, if you want to change it the other way around, it can be adjusted by changing the angle to 90.

2) Inner shadow

applying just a small line of shadow

3) Drop shadow

set the opacity of the shadow to around 59-61.

4) Outer glow

glowing effects to the word ink.

5) Bevell and emboss

The style for the word ink been saved.

applied the style to both of the splat. by clicking gradient overlay, you can change the colour of the splat but the style remains the same.

Those are some of the layer style that can be used.

Next, a layer been added to channels this is to create a background effect of the style.

The background can be erased by using the paintbrush tool.
